Junk Room to Laundry Room/Pantry

The desire was to take a small inefficient space and turn it in to a beautiful, useful space.  The kitchen didn't have much pantry space, the laundry room was in the basement.  To have a laundry room upstairs and a beautiful space to "hang out" is so much more efficient.  It would take days to do laundry since I would forget about it. :) I did three loads in a couple hours as I was working in the kitchen.  I LOVE our new space and can't wait to get it organized. The last step is the new sliding barn door.  Being built and installed this week!

     The home make-over is finally finished!  Just in time for a birthday party.  The fireplace refacing ended up looking fantastic.  Phil took off the old tile and replaced it with gorgeous dark slate, each piece hand-picked.  The hearth was also removed, permanently.  These pictures give an idea of the final look.  A few more will follow.  Dreaming of your own home make-over?  Give us a call!! :-)

    Phil is back to "normal" working hours again since the family arrived home.  They are admiring the new look in their home.   The bamboo floors are about complete in the family room, making the room look warm and classy.  The fireplace will receive a new facelift, the final details will be taken care of and Phil will move on to the next lucky client.  We love happy clients and we love becoming like family to so many.  Keep watching for the final pictures!

New Counter Tops Anyone?!!

     The counter tops made it in today...well at least most of them.  The island is still in waiting and the back splashes must wait a bit too.  Not long, but in this business patience seems to be the key.  After a good wiping down and dusting the kitchen is looking wonderful.  The new, stone sink will go in tomorrow.
    Phil is working hard this evening during the snowstorm but his lovely assistant (Bonnie) left to brave the weather home to the kiddos.

     The wood is coming along beautifully down the hallway and the next phase is the family room.  Completed photos will arrive sometime next week.

     The wood is finished in the kitchen (bamboo) and gorgeous!  The cabinets are back in position waiting for their new tops.  The next phase is installing the same gorgeous bamboo in the living room and down the hallway.  We really should change the name of the business to Mr. Amazing's Home Improvement.  

Kitchen remodel update

     The beautiful paint is finished, giving the kitchen and kitchen nook a very classy look.   AS of last night the wood is almost finished in the kitchen area.  The countertops will be installed on Friday! Gets better every day.

Leaking bathroom

     Due to old tile in the shower a slow leak developed.  This led to a basement leak.  In the tear out process a problem with mold and mildew was found.  This can cause all sorts of heath issues.  The leaking also caused rotting wood.  The problem fix was to either install a fiberglass shower surround or make a beautiful modern tiled shower.
     Lots of tearing out of the old was done, then cement board was installed along with a good sealer.  Then the tile started going up.  The end result was a gorgeous, modern shower with a clear glass door to enhance the beauty of the shower.  Also some beautiful inset shelves were installed for a place to set shampoos and conditioners.

     There is nothing better than a nice relaxing, hot shower in a beautiful shower.  Kudos to Phil's amazing work!!
