The desire was to take a small inefficient space and turn it in to a beautiful, useful space. The kitchen didn't have much pantry space, the laundry room was in the basement. To have a laundry room upstairs and a beautiful space to "hang out" is so much more efficient. It would take days to do laundry since I would forget about it. :) I did three loads in a couple hours as I was working in the kitchen. I LOVE our new space and can't wait to get it organized. The last step is the new sliding barn door. Being built and installed this week!
